About Race
The Dubai Marathon is an annual race held in the United Arab Emirates.
As one of the premier sporting events in the city's calendar, it has grown bigger and better each year, attracting many local and global sponsors.
This competition was held for the first time on January 14, 2000, and after that it is repeated in January every year.
In April 2007, it was announced that the 2008 race would become the richest long-distance running event in history, offering $1,000,000 for the world record and $250,000 for the first place men's and women's. The race attracts many people who come to watch and support the runners.
